CFI Financial Group has officially entered into a partnership with MI Cape Town cricket team, becoming its Official Online Trading Partner. The agreement, announced on Wednesday, marks a significant step for CFI as it expands its footprint in South Africa.

The partnership includes prominent jersey branding with CFI’s logo placed on the right chest position, stadium advertising, and exclusive fan engagement activities, such as player meet-and-greet events. While the financial details of the deal were not disclosed, it represents a strategic move to leverage cricket’s global audience, which comprises approximately 2.5 billion fans.

    Strengthening Presence in South Africa

This collaboration follows CFI’s launch of operations in South Africa, where the company has already reported over $1 trillion in trading volumes. Hisham Mansour, Co-Founder and Managing Director of CFI, emphasized the significance of this partnership, stating, “Following the launch of our South African operations, this collaboration strengthens our presence while aligning us with a global cricket brand. MI Cape Town’s popularity extends beyond South Africa, offering valuable visibility to fans both locally and globally.”

MI Cape Town, a part of MI Global’s network of five T20 teams, competes in South Africa’s T20 cricket league, with matches hosted at Newlands Cricket Ground. The team boasts a star-studded roster that includes international cricket icons like Kagiso Rabada, Ben Stokes, and Rashid Khan. The franchise’s global reach spans influential markets such as India, the UAE, and the United States.

    Expanding Sports Partnerships

CFI’s partnership with MI Cape Town adds to its growing portfolio of sports sponsorships. The company has existing agreements with AC Milan football club and Formula One driver Lewis Hamilton. This latest deal underscores CFI’s commitment to leveraging sports to enhance brand visibility and engage with passionate fanbases worldwide.

Ziad Melhem, Chief Marketing Officer at CFI, highlighted the strategic importance of the partnership: “Cricket’s unparalleled reach and MI Cape Town’s status as a global brand allow us to amplify our visibility not just to fans in South Africa but also in influential markets like the UAE and beyond. By engaging with a passionate fanbase, we aim to enhance brand awareness and reaffirm our commitment to superior trading experiences globally.”

    Immediate Activation

The partnership takes effect immediately, with branding and activation programs launching during the current cricket season. As CFI aligns itself with one of cricket’s most prominent teams, the company looks to establish a deeper connection with cricket fans while solidifying its position as a leading online trading firm in emerging markets.
