smartTrade Technologies, a French provider of multi-asset electronic trading and payment solutions, has promoted Laurent Danesi to the role of Chief Innovation Officer. A seasoned technology expert, Danesi has been with the company for more than 20 years, holding various leadership positions throughout his tenure.
Danesi’s Journey at smartTrade
Danesi began his career with smartTrade Technologies in 2004 as a System Architect. Over the years, he has taken on key roles, including Chief Architect and Head of Product Development. His promotion to Chief Innovation Officer reflects his long-standing contributions to the company and his expertise in driving technological advancements.
Recent Leadership Changes at smartTrade
This promotion follows another significant executive move by smartTrade Technologies in September, when Catherine Bran-Morales was named Head of Business Development for the APAC region. Bran-Morales previously held the position of Sales Director for EMEA for more than four years before her promotion. Her extensive experience includes roles in brand development and sales across regions like Florida, Texas, and New York, as well as earlier roles in account management and financial management.
About smartTrade Technologies

The company’s UK division recently reported strong financial results for fiscal year 2024. Operating profits doubled to £2.2 million, supported by a 16% increase in sales, which rose from £15.5 million to nearly £18 million.
