Prop trading firm Goat Funded Trader (GFT) is nearing the completion of its move to Hong Kong, with CEO Edoardo Dalla Torre confirming the transition is 99% done. Despite some payout delays, the company has continued distributing funds to traders, surpassing $7 million in total payouts.
Migration Challenges and Security Enhancements
Dalla Torre addressed concerns about delays, citing two key reasons:
- Enhanced security checks to identify and prevent fraudulent trading practices.
- Complications in transferring funds between Spain and Hong Kong.
“We did face some delays,” Dalla Torre admitted. “A group of coordinated cheaters/hedgers needed careful evaluation, and transferring funds from Spain to Hong Kong took longer than expected. We can proudly say this has now been cleared.”
Upcoming Features and Rewards Program
With the transition nearly done, GFT is preparing to introduce new features in early 2025. The firm plans to roll out:
- An upgraded trading interface and analytical dashboard.
- A points-based rewards system, allowing users to earn and redeem benefits.
- A new trading challenge called “Instant Goat”, though full details remain under wraps.
These updates align with GFT’s first-quarter goals for 2025, aimed at improving user experience and engagement.
“I thank everyone for their patience and support. It’s time to make big things happen in 2025,” Dalla Torre stated.
Platform Shifts: TradeLocker, MetaTrader, and cTrader
GFT has been refining its platform choices over the past year. In July 2024, the firm introduced TradeLocker, expanding its trading options.
The company also made a controversial move by discontinuing MetaTrader (MT) services. GFT initially pulled MT in February 2024 due to licensing issues, later reinstated it briefly, then removed it again. Meanwhile, it added cTrader, a platform developed by Spotware, as an alternative to MetaQuotes tools.
With its regional migration nearly complete and new features on the way, Goat Funded Trader is setting up for an ambitious 2025, focusing on innovation, security, and trader engagement.
