MetaTrader 5 has recently introduced over 40 new payment options, making it easier for traders around the world to transact. These payment methods are tailored to specific regions, including Alfamart in Indonesia, Alipay in China, Boleto in Brazil, and BLIK in Poland. The platform now also accepts cryptocurrency payments via Binance Pay, along with several mobile wallets.
Expanding Regional Payment Solutions
According to a recent update from MetaQuotes, MetaTrader 5 now offers a wider variety of payment methods to cater to its global user base. In addition to traditional options like credit cards and wire transfers, users can access a range of new digital wallets and local banking systems.
For instance, traders in Indonesia can use Alfamart for payments, while those in China can leverage Alipay for fast transactions. In Brazil, the platform supports Boleto, a popular invoice-based payment system, and in Poland, BLIK allows payments through shortcode technology.
In Malaysia, the DuitNow system enables bank transfers and QR code payments, and Binance Pay allows for crypto transactions, appealing to users of digital currencies. MetaTrader 5 also supports mobile wallets like OVO in Indonesia and MoMo in Vietnam, addressing the growing demand for mobile payment solutions across Southeast Asia.
Connecting Global Markets
For European traders, the platform has integrated the SEPA system for instant transfers across the Eurozone, and MyBank for seamless bank transfers within Europe.
In related news, Bybit, a major cryptocurrency exchange, announced its plans to incorporate MetaTrader 5 for digital asset, forex, and CFD trading. Bybit’s version of MT5 is expected to offer competitive fees and high liquidity, with a focus on crypto perpetual contracts with tight spreads and leverage options. Additionally, users will have access to forex and commodities trading without needing to hold physical assets like gold or oil.
The latest beta version of MetaTrader 5 (build 4330), released in May, introduced advanced tools for both traders and developers. These include enhanced chart labeling capabilities and access to ChatGPT, among other analytical resources.
Despite its growth, MetaQuotes has faced some hurdles. Earlier this year, the company experienced difficulties in India, where its platforms were reportedly removed from the Google Play Store due to local restrictions.
