Fulham Football Club has partnered with US based fintech firm FIS to create an innovation hub at Fulham Pier. The new “Markers, presented by FIS” center is designed to merge technology, business, and community innovation, with the goal of attracting business leaders and fostering a collaborative environment.

Innovation and Collaboration at Fulham Pier

As part of Fulham FC’s riverside redevelopment, Fulham Pier will host a variety of events, panel discussions, and innovation workshops. The collaboration also supports FIS’ ongoing FinTech Accelerator Program, making Fulham Pier a fintech incubator for the EMEA region.

Alistair Mackintosh, CEO of Fulham FC, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership: “The Markers, presented by FIS suite, will become a cutting edge tech incubator, creating a hub of innovation at Fulham Pier. This will elevate the area as a top destination in West London.”

Mackintosh further highlighted the broader impact of the initiative, stating that fintech sandboxes play a crucial role in advancing technology and enhancing community engagement. The hub is expected to position Fulham Pier as a forward-thinking development hub in the region.

The center will host various activities, including FIS’ signature InnovateIN48 competition, designed to promote fintech development. This partnership blends technology, sports, and community engagement, contributing to the larger financial ecosystem.

    FIS’ Commitment to the Community

The innovation hub will also serve as a collaborative space for business leaders throughout London, encouraging the exchange of ideas in a dynamic riverside setting with easy access to cultural and recreational facilities. Additionally, FIS has committed £25,000 to the Fulham FC Foundation to support local educational initiatives.

This donation aims to help over 100 young people in the area gain qualifications that will improve their employment, training, and educational opportunities. Earlier this year, FIS also launched a fintech platform called Atelio, designed to enable financial institutions, businesses, and developers to integrate financial services into their products. Atelio offers services like deposit collection, fund transfers, card issuance, fraud prevention, and more.
